Andy Gaskell
Director of Business Development
Andy leads on all external engagement and regulatory compliance at Next Level, working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure the team consistently delivers to the highest standards as a Social Business.
Before stepping into his current role as Director, Andy spent seven and a half years honing his expertise in Business Development and Strategic Leadership at a respected national Doorstep Sport charity.
Earlier in his career, Andy held a range of roles focused on social mobility and education across the North East of England. During this time, he successfully secured social investment from commercial partners to support improved educational outcomes for primary and secondary school pupils in underserved communities.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Andy is a lifelong Barnsley F.C. supporter, a part-time follower of Wakefield Trinity R.L.F.C., and a keen fan of horse racing—making an annual pilgrimage to the Cheltenham Festival every March. Known for his boundless enthusiasm, Andy is a strong advocate for the transformative power of sport in helping communities not just survive but thrive—empowering young people to lead healthier, safer, and more successful lives.

Caroline Moran
Director of Coaching & Sport Development
With over 15 years of experience in sport, education, and workforce development, Caroline brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and leadership to her role as Director of Next Level Coaching and Sports Development. Her career spans national and regional roles with organisations such as StreetGames, The FA, and MK Dons Sport & Education Trust, where she has led on strategic training programmes, quality assurance, and community sport development.
Caroline’s approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the behaviours, skills, and systems that drive sustainable impact in the sector. A certified coach, assessor, and trainer, she combines technical expertise with an inclusive, learner-centred philosophy that supports individuals and organisations to grow. From leading workforce development initiatives to designing impactful training solutions, Caroline is committed to raising standards and supporting people to reach their potential – on and off the field.
Mark Roughsedge
Director of Coaching & Sport Development
Mark brings a wealth of unparalleled experience across the coaching spectrum—from grassroots and player pathways to the international stage. Within the sports development sector, he has held a range of influential roles across local authorities, professional sports club foundations, national governing bodies, charities, non-profits, and community-based initiatives.
At Next Level, Mark works closely with organisations to develop and upskill their workforce, building tailored, fit-for-purpose toolkits that drive meaningful engagement in sport and physical activity. As an experienced workforce developer and dedicated tutor, Mark specialises in working within underserved communities, with a particular strength in creating inclusive, person-centred environments where sport can truly thrive.
Driven by a passion for empowering communities through sport, Mark has a proven track record in mobilising local assets and forging strong partnerships to deliver impactful, sustainable physical activity programmes.
Outside of work, Mark is a die-hard Rugby League enthusiast, enduring the emotional rollercoaster that comes with supporting the mighty Warrington Wolves R.L.F.C. (affectionately known as ‘the Wire’). Ever the optimist, he remains convinced that each season will finally be the year of the Primrose and Blue.
